Our website makes use of “cookies” - a type of website tracking technology. Our use of cookies falls into two broad categories:

First, we use cookies to make our website function correctly. For example, we use a cookie as part of our login system; it allows the website to keep you logged in as you move from page to page. Without cookies of this nature, the full functionality of our website would not be available. Cookies that we use to make our website function correctly are automatically deleted when you close the website, unless you have asked the website to remember you on login, in which case the cookie responsible for providing that functionality will remain stored in your browser.

Secondly, we use cookies to track your visit to our website, in an anonymous way, so that we can monitor the performance, utility and usage of the website. For example, we use cookies (provided by third-party services such as Google Analytics) to see how popular certain pages of the website are, how users navigate from page to page, and which articles are read most frequently. Cookies that we use for these purposes may be stored on your browser even after you close our website, and may remain on your computer for extended periods of time, so that we can recognise repeat visits.

If you do not wish to allow PPL/IR to use cookies when you browse our website, you can configure your web browser to refuse to accept them. The mechanism for doing that varies from browser to browser, so you should consult your browser manual for details. Your browser will also have a function that allows you to delete any stored cookies. You may do this at any time.
